Job Description:

We are seeking a results-driven Construction Manager with a strong technical background and exceptional leadership skills to oversee our construction projects and operations. As an integral member of our leadership team, you will manage teams, coordinate with various departments, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects that meet client expectations and adhere to regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire teams of construction professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Project Management: Oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure smooth execution of construction projects.
  • Construction Oversight: Review and approve project plans and designs to ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing construction processes and productivity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction projects meet Canadian building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and deliver outstanding results.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges in construction projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in large-scale construction, infrastructure, or related fields is strongly preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore). Strong understanding of construction standards, building codes, and project methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
